Communication

“Making progress in difficult situations is all about communication”

A unique feature of a MiRo communication course is to assess you and your colleagues in advance. MiRo assessment gives feedback to:

  • your preferred communication styles
  • your teams preferred communication styles
  • communication strategies you can use

This gives high quality management information (benchmarked against MBTI and Belbin). When combined with  knowledge of your organisation it is possible to understand why there might be clashes of style and develop strategies to improve even “difficult” situations.

What do we mean by communication?

Most of us are very good at our jobs. Sometimes there is “noise” that disrupts or disturbs our progress. This could be office politics, change, or simply a personality clash. This affect how we feel and therefore how we act.

There are different types of communication training – for example:

  • Presentation – how to make a presentation
  • Style – how to present yourself better, improve language skills and body language
  • Mediation – using communication skills to solve problems between individuals in conflict
  • Influencing – getting others to see your point of view

MiRo communication courses specialise in mediation and influencing people. This focuses on solving problems through analysis of communication styles and developing tailored skills.
