Behavioural Modes

MiRo Behavioural Assessment asks individuals a number of questions, analyses the results and displays them in  4 modes of behaviour:

  • Driving – Drivers can be innovative, adventurous, rational and forceful
  • Energising – Energisers are gregarious, creative, and agreeable
  • Organising – Organisers are interested in well being, stability, helping others, and acquiring specialist knowledge
  • Analysing – Analysers focus on doing the right thing. They like to be certain in their facts and to understand their surroundings

We all use all four modes, but probably prefer to use one more than the rest. On taking an assessment you will get a profile that shows your preference for each of the modes, and typically how you like to behave.

All behaviour modes are equally valid. “Drivers” are useful, as are “Analysers”. If you take an assessment it is not a “test” that you can do well at (or do badly). It just helps you understand how you behave.

With this understanding you can decide to:

  • spend more time in your preferred mode e.g. developing your role at work to include more work that will need an energising skill set.
  • understand how to work with others who behave differently to you
  • take time to develop a skill or skills that you lack e.g. Analysing  skills

Teams can also use MiRo Assessment. Using the group chart teams can work out:

  • What skills their team lacks
  • How they could communicate with each other better
  • How they could communicate with other groups better
  • How new people can integrate into their team
  • What profile is needed within their team, in addition to the “desired” functional skill set
